Kate Ott
Lead EMS Instructor
Kate Ott has dedicated her career to enhancing community safety and health through education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on Sports Medicine from Northern Arizona University, completed in 1995. She became a certified EMT in 1992 and was certified and worked in Arizona, Virginia and Minnesota. She has since maintained her certification in Minnesota.
Kate began her teaching journey with the Red Cross in 1992, focusing on EMS education. By 2002, she expanded her expertise to teaching EMT courses, sharing her passion for emergency medical services with a wide audience. Her love for educating laypeople and youth stems from her desire to make a significant impact on the communities she serves.
With a strong family history in public service—her father served as a police chief, her uncle as a corrections officer, and her grandfather as a judge—Kate’s commitment to service runs deep. She was inspired to become an EMT while working in the collegiate training room and with the club soccer team during college.
